  Diversity, Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Inclusion Statements
Every organization should state in a positive manner how it views diversity by placing a statement on its website, in its publications, and in its advertisements for vacant positions.  They should do so, not as a legal requirement, but as a statement of values and beliefs.
  Portfolios
Portfolios are a very useful screening method designed to ascertain the degree to which a candidate is qualified for a position.  Since the portfolio is a collection of past work, it is one of the best indicators of the quality of work a candidate can produced as well as an indicator of their potential contributions.
